Actor Joshua Jackson has spoken publicly about the passing of his former Dawson's Creek co-star James Van Der Beek, saying that coming to terms with the loss is still an ongoing process.

During an appearance on the Today program on March 10, Jackson shared emotional reflections about his longtime colleague and friend, who died on February 11 following a battle with Colon Cancer. He was 48.

Jackson explained that the news continues to affect him in different ways, especially now that he is a father himself. Thinking about the impact of the loss on Van Der Beek’s family has given the tragedy a deeper meaning.

According to Jackson, the years they spent working together on Dawson's Creek were a defining chapter in both of their lives. The series, which aired from 1998 to 2003, followed a group of teenagers growing up in a small coastal town and became one of the most recognizable teen dramas of its time.
